JOB DESCRIPTION: Carlton School District is seeking an Indian Education Coordinator for our PK-12 Indian Education programs.  Individual is responsible for working with school administration and parent advisory committees to assure support programs and services align with priorities for student success.  Responsibilities include basic grant writing, data collection and organization of special events.  This is an 8 hours/day position through June 30, 2020.  Position resumes August 17, 2020 for 2020-21 school year.

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference.  Prior experience working successfully in a  in a school setting preferred.  Two year college degree or more preferred.  Essential Skills: organization, reliability, effective oral and written communication skills, understanding of budgets, flexibility, ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, school staff.

WAGES: Dependent on qualifications.

Check and Connect Mentor

JOB DESCRIPTION: Carlton School District is seeking a Check and Connect Mentor for Native American students in grades 6-12.  Check & Connect is an intervention used with students who show signs of disengagement with school. The core of Check & Connect is a trusting relationship between the student and a caring, trained mentor who both advocates for and challenges the student. Mentors function as liaisons between home and school and strive to build constructive student-family-school relationships. Training will be provided. This is an 8 hours/day position through June 30, 2020.  Position resumes August 17, 2020 for 2020-21 school year.
